Phy-Topia YouTube

Welcome to the YouTube Channel Server!  This is where all of the recording magic happens for our sister site –!  (You should check this chick out!)

This is most definitely a modded server!

If you are here, I am assuming that you have already downloaded the forge client and installed it as per the instructions from *this* page.  If you haven’t, please go to the downloads page and download and install the forge client.

Here its going to get a little wonky for different users.  Those of you using a MAC – you have into:
  • Library
    • Application Support
      • minecraft folder

Windows users can use the find option in windows, and type in %appdata%.  This automatically opens your Roaming folder.  In there, you should see a .minecraft folder.

Once you find your minecraft or .minecraft folder you’ll need to download the mods and configs.  If you have installed forge correctly, you should have a “mods” and “configs” folder.

Because this server is super special, not everyone can join just yet.  Phy-Topia is taking applications to add players to the whitelist.  Please note, if you are banned on the YouTube server, you will not be unbanned.  The application is *here*.

Whether or not you are granted access to the Phy-Topia YouTube server, you can follow along and play with the same mods.

I’ve made two different mod packs. One includes all of the client side stuff I use (NEI, Optifine, Shaders, Xaeros Minimap) and one that does not. Some pc’s just can’t handle all that, and rather than make it difficult for you, I split it up into two different downloads. If you want the fluff, get it. Otherwise, don’t. 🙂

The mod pack with only the essentials is located *here*.

The mod pack with the extra fluffy stuff is located *here*.

Unzip the download, and paste the mods folder with all of its contents (just drag and drop it) into your respective minecraft folders.

Now, some of the default configurations cause conflicts with the newly added item ids.  No worries,-we went through all of the config files and altered the configs so everything works properly.  The pack of configs are available for download *here*.

Unzip the download, and paste all of the configuration files into your config folder.

And, TA-DA! Now you can successfully play on the Phy-Topia YouTube server once accepted!

Please be aware that the server can and probably will update frequently.  As such, the appropriate downloads will be made available to you.  If you find yourself unable to join the server, please check back to make sure an update hasn’t been completed.  With a server like this, the configuration files will need to continuously be updated so make sure you have the latest config files from Phy-Topia.
